Lemme start by saying that I would absolutely never send my worse enemy to piercing pagoda..So anyway in the past I've had pretty good experiences with piercing pagoda. when I was 14 I had my 2nd holes and cartiledge done there.

for my 18th birthday I went back and had my 3rd holes, 2 midways, and another cartiledge done. well I cleaned them all twice a day, never played with them, and 2 weeks after the piercing, my midways got infected and had to be put on a strong antibiotic. half way into the antibiotic, one of the 3rd holes got infected. so out of the 5 piercings I got, I had to take out 3 because my doctor said it would be very dangerous to keep them in(yea..

it was that bad) do yourselves a favor and go to a piercer who knows that they're doing especially if you're having a cartiledge piercing done... piercing pagoda only uses guns which is TERRIBLE and unsanitary.

How can it be unsanitary if the earrings are sealed before piercing and the earring itself is what pierces your ear??? Cleaning aftercare is the issue!

Dont blame it on them when you clearly didnt listen when they told you how to take care of it! Wow! Thats some courage you have! Piercing parlors are unsanitary cause THEY pierce you with a needle that for all you know is not sterile!

Plus they always pierce with a needle thats way too big for any earrings (personal experience)!

Cartilage (not cartiledge like you spelled) is way more sensitive than lobes anyway, who knows what you've been doing and you blame it on them?? Do it yourself then!

You are obviously uneducated on this topic.

Piercing guns are NOT sterile in the least.

Even if it's clean (note: clean does not mean sterile), the stud they use will cause blunt force trauma (if used on the cartilage, the cartilage can actually SHATTER)

You're uneducated for saying that piercing parlors are unsanitary. What kind of parlors do you go to?! Professional piercers have had years of intensive in-depth training, while those who work at Piercing Pagoda/Claire's/Icing's have only had a few hours/days of training.

The needle is one-time use only, and sterilized in an autoclave. Piercers wear gloves.

There's different gauge sizes and you can actually ask for an 18 mm gauge (which is the same size with regular earrings) which you clearly didn't.

Get your facts straight.

Piercing with a gun is not unsanitary....I had mine done and had no problems. It's just the way you take care of it
